‘Sailing the Centennial’ is a pretty wonkish little piece on, well, sailing the Centennial. More informational than entertaining, but I’ll update it as I learn more.

Hello, Gaff vangs, used them alot on my parents gaff ketch, don’t go from the mizzen mast head straight onto the peak of the main (old man had to climb the mizzen and cut it free once, just to get the main down, with this system), ideally start at the cockpit, run forward to base of mast, up mast to block on throat of main, then out to plastic hose lashed to peak, then to mizzen masthead, then down to deck, though plastic hose fairleads. This rig is self tending when raising or lowering gaff, and can be released at either end in case of tangles
Cheers
Ben
